STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
FROM THE COLLEGE ADVISER:
- Make sure you have sent in all of your final college applications -- the final deadline for most schools is Feb 1.
- Send your transcripts through parchment -- see my video here if you are stuck.
- Complete the FAFSA- you can find instructions here, or you can make an appointment with me (with or without your parents, based on your family's preference). If you are having a hard time getting the info needed for the FAFSA from your parents, PLEASE let me know. ** There will be another FAFSA Lab night on February 12th from 6:00pm-8:00 pm that you and/or your parent can attend.
- Complete scholarship applications -- see Mr. Berriman's weekly update, TV slides, or come see me or Mrs. Samp in the media center. Most deadlines are in March!!!
- Let me know where you have been accepted, any scholarships you have received, and the school you are choosing to attend -- keep your eyes peeled in the next few weeks for the mural of "I've been accepted" lockers that will be in the main hallway.
- If you're not sure about how you can afford college, bring in your award letters from each school and we can go through your options.
- **Final note -- if the college you applied to said they would like a copy of 1st-semester grades-- make sure to send an additional transcript through parchment. **
- ALL STUDENTS: We have several Admissions Representatives coming back to AHS for another round of visits. If you are interested in attending their sessions, please RSVP here and I will get you a pass.
