ARTIST OF THE WEEK:
Grade: 12
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Title: Deconstruction
Artist Statement: This painting was created with acrylic paint over the course of several months. It shows a steampunk-inspired robotic head being deconstructed. The painting shows many layers of automation of wires and circuitry under a metal encasement. This painting represents the beauty of complication. I learned that trying to make things look like they fit together can be a lot harder than people might think.
