FFA AT MSU:
- Lindsey Hoppe was elected the Michigan FFA Region VI state vice president. She is the 13th member from our chapter to be elected to state office since 1970! She will begin her term upon graduation
- Lindsey Hoppe, Adam Degen, and Carey May Udell earned their State FFA Degrees
- Hannah Schultz, Savannah Avent, and Molly MacArthur earned Outstanding Junior Awards
- Adam Degen earned a silver proficiency award for poultry production, Savannah Avent earned a bronze proficiency award for beef production, and Lindsey Hoppe eared silver proficiency awards in poultry production and diversified livestock production
- Kimberly McConnell, Lindsey Hoppe, Brooke Male, Savannah Avent, Molly MacArthur, and Hannah Schultz earned Academic Excellence award
- The Agricultural Issues team earned 12th place bronze rating
- The Greenhand Conduct of Meetings team earned 12th place bronze rating
- Remington Buckler earned 8th place silver rating in Extemporaneous public speaking
- Kennedy Ellis earned 10th place silver rating in Greenhand public speaking
- Lindsey Hoppe earned 6th place gold rating in Prepared Public speaking
- Erika Schmidt represented Alpena in the Michigan FFA Band
- The chapter was recognized as a top chapter in the state and earned a gold National Chapter award, State Superior Chapter award and a Building Michigan Community award. We also donated 60 lbs of pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
