Here is your weekly update:
- Freshman: MSTEP Parent Score Reports that were not picked up at Conferences will be handed out during Advisory Period on Friday, November 10
- Michigan State University will be visiting AHS on Monday, November 6 at 9:45am. See Mrs Samp in the Media Center to Sign-Up.
- Seniors:
- The MHSAA Scholarship for High Achieving Academics and Athletics is available in the CRC. You must be a Senior graduating in June, have won a Varsity letter prior to this school year, and a minimum competitive GPA of 3.5. See Mrs Samp in the Media Center for more information. The Deadline is November 15.
- Jostens will be here during all three lunches in front of the Auditorium on November 7 to collect your orders.
- Prudential-Spirit of Community Scholarship is due November 7
- Congrats to Senior Rose Jasman for receiving the World Changer Award at the 2017 Summit in Kansas City. Stop by the YVC Office in the Large Commons for more information of how you can make a difference in the community.
- ASVAB Test will be given on November 9 at 8:00am. ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future success in the military. Sign-up in F-House prior to November 7.
- Winter Sports Updates:
- Girls Basketball: Tryouts begin Monday, November 6 at 3:00pm in the Gym. Players should come with Basketball appropriate apparel and reversible green/white jerseys if they have one.
- Cheerleading: Tryouts are next week (Nov 6-9) from 3:30pm-6:30pm. If you have any questions, you can contact Coach Howard at [email protected]
- All athletes MUST have a Physical Form on file prior to tryouts
- Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design will be giving a presentation in Mr Kielszewski's Art Classroom on November 9. Please sign-up in the Media Center in order to attend. You are encouraged to bring your art work as there may be time for valuable input and feedback from the presenter.
